MKF General Discussion Posting Guidelines

1.) READ THE FAQ BEFORE POSTING. If you have a question about MKF in general, chances are it is answered in the FAQ.

2.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW CHARACTERS. MKF already has so many characters planned, plus a whole lot more that are unfinished.

3.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW ENEMIES. As of July 2010, the MKF Dev team is focused on getting the game done, not adding any more unnecessary extra enemies.

4.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW GAME FEATURES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: POWER-UPS, SUITS, LEVELS, AND GAME MODES. As noted above, the team is focused on getting the game done.

5.) DO NOT POST BUG REPORTS HERE. The MKF Bug Tracker is the place to do so.

6.)DO NOT ASK ABOUT RELEASE DATES FOR THE NEXT VERSION. We do not give out release dates. Why? If we announce a date and we miss it, people will get disappointed. New versions will be released as they get done.

Any post that contains any of these things will be binned on sight.

How did you find the sprites and tileset of the Super Mario Land 2 tree zone colored? I only could find black and white ones.

I got Radonkel and the nest from MFGG, but I edited the sprite where it throws the feather. I also created the feather it throws and the down it loses when you damage it. As for the tiles and other enemies, I colored the black and white ones.

You put your hard work of coloring black and white sprites into a public dev kit. Which people can easily get them and use them in their game. Do you mind at all of those people?

We've actually uploaded a ton of sprites to Spriters-Resource's database for people to use them, they even gave us our own section. We don't mind other people using our custom spriteworks, I think it's cool actually and we would've already uploaded more to TSR if it wasn't so tedious :(

It's here, though many of them are unused and a few more were edited further later. A couple edited tilesets are included like Mega Man's but most tiles we use are from original games and we upload them to their own games' sections.

Go ahead, but you'll need to extract whatever you want that we haven't uploaded from the source yourself :(

Give credit to "fusion fangaming" if you want to give credit though, many different people worked on those and it would be too hard and impractical to do it individually.

How do I give credit? I just post in my game description "I give credit to Fusion Fangaming for some sprites used in this game" will that work? And what do you mean by if you want to give credit?

Most people who make fangames make a credits section somewhere (in MKF it's in the F1 info), with the game's developers and stuff, if you have more spriters helping you you could include it in there or say "special thanks to fusion fangaming for contributing sprites", or anything like that would work, it's up to you.

Edit: and by if you want to give credit, that's what I meant, many spriters when they upload their sprites they say "give credit if used", personally I don't mind it but the others in here probably would

You can use anything of ours as long as you give credit to Fusion Fangaming.
