I have a request... for a joke.

My GM skills are dreadful.  But I have this really simple concept for a gag game.

A crossover between Mario and 172 hours... essentially.

Basically all I really want is a game that starts like mario but he just falls into a deep pit and theres noting you can do to get out, and let time run out.  Where upon you start the "level" over again.

I keep thinking that this would be a funny gag game to show up randomly on the Arcade machine.

I enjoy putting myself in exotic and awesome environments, then I make people play fan generated games they never knew existed.

Okay here's my attempt. I made it in literally half an hour in HE1 but it's not too bad...
Download here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/963svq
There are two copies: regular and debug.
Debug is permanently in small view and you can press 8 to skip a room and 9 to end your time instantly. Regular removes these, fixes some things and starts and is permanently in full view (coz you need that if it's on an arcade machine, right?)
If anything is off in this game tell me and I'll fix it.
I also used music from the movie. It's called Touch of the Sun.

Lol I'll have to check this out when I get home.  Thanks!  With the "Play Random Game" feature on the GameEx program, stuff like this will be funny to just pop up and make the player go, WTF!

Ok played it, It's funny.  I did find a bug where I can climb out of the hole.  lol  if i jump backwards into the wall, turn around and push jump repeatedly, he will climb out of the hole.

I like that you added the stuff in the beginning before the hole.  It makes it feel more like a trick.

I have a reqest, perhaps we could change the time to just about 200 seconds?  I do spend a lot of time in the hole lol.

Also, I see that I have infinate lives in the overworld (I like that).  And that dieing by time gets the game over.  Would it be possible to make the game close after the game over screen?  If not its all good.

Now that I think about that glitch and the movie....  instead of fixing the wall glitch, could we just make the game say Success and end if you make it to the top?

Lol and again thanks a bunch!  This has made me laugh alot and I cant wait to start messing with people with this game!

Here, try this: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jz2swh

Reduces time to 200 seconds, has the game exit on game over and has the "secret ending" you requested. (Don't exit the game at any point; the secret ending will take you to game over and exit by itself over time)

The forum alerts you of new responces, right? That's the only reason I double posted...

Ok finally got around to downloading this new version.  Totally made me laugh.  I think it's great.  Thanks again.

Nice touch with adding the fire flower and the smash bros points screen.
