MKF General Discussion Posting Guidelines

1.) READ THE FAQ BEFORE POSTING. If you have a question about MKF in general, chances are it is answered in the FAQ.

2.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW CHARACTERS. MKF already has so many characters planned, plus a whole lot more that are unfinished.

3.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW ENEMIES. As of July 2010, the MKF Dev team is focused on getting the game done, not adding any more unnecessary extra enemies.

4.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW GAME FEATURES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: POWER-UPS, SUITS, LEVELS, AND GAME MODES. As noted above, the team is focused on getting the game done.

5.) DO NOT POST BUG REPORTS HERE. The MKF Bug Tracker is the place to do so.

6.)DO NOT ASK ABOUT RELEASE DATES FOR THE NEXT VERSION. We do not give out release dates. Why? If we announce a date and we miss it, people will get disappointed. New versions will be released as they get done.

Any post that contains any of these things will be binned on sight.

What does The Siren say when you meet her? I don't quite understand. I don't need any code.

Her quotes are taken from the Naga Siren unit from Warcraft 3, she says "I assembled a requiem"

You certainly have a massive interest in the Siren.

The sprites are custom... If I remember corectly.
I enjoy putting myself in exotic and awesome environments, then I make people play fan generated games they never knew existed.

Most of her sounds either come from Warcraft 3 or were "borrowed" from the necromancer. I don't know where the necromancer sfx came from (his new voice is also from Warcraft 3, the shade, I believe)

The siren's sparkly spell came from Chrono Trigger I think, and the ice chunks are from Final Fantasy VI's blizzaga spell. The siren herself is an edit of one of the GBA Castlevania's succubus.

And her singing track is from Silent Hill, the second one I think.

Anything else?

It sounds like "I'll sing your requiem." or "I'll sing you a requiem." to me.

I can't find any of the sound effects of her spells. Where did you get the World Of Warcraft 3 sounds of her spells?

We extracted them directly from Warcraft III and World of Warcraft.

It's not "World of Warcraft 3", it's just Warcraft 3; I have the game (and its expansion The Frozen Throne) in my computer, all of the game's data is contained in .mpq files, you can get a .mpq file extractor to browse and extract any files from them, including sound effects.
