MKF General Discussion Posting Guidelines

1.) READ THE FAQ BEFORE POSTING. If you have a question about MKF in general, chances are it is answered in the FAQ.

2.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW CHARACTERS. MKF already has so many characters planned, plus a whole lot more that are unfinished.

3.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW ENEMIES. As of July 2010, the MKF Dev team is focused on getting the game done, not adding any more unnecessary extra enemies.

4.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW GAME FEATURES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: POWER-UPS, SUITS, LEVELS, AND GAME MODES. As noted above, the team is focused on getting the game done.

5.) DO NOT POST BUG REPORTS HERE. The MKF Bug Tracker is the place to do so.

6.)DO NOT ASK ABOUT RELEASE DATES FOR THE NEXT VERSION. We do not give out release dates. Why? If we announce a date and we miss it, people will get disappointed. New versions will be released as they get done.

Any post that contains any of these things will be binned on sight.

talking about sub weapons what about the clock?

can't be done, Shodian tried to give Ryu a time stopper weapon and it broke half of the enemies, it's too glitchy to implement

I think Simon has plenty of sub-weapons to work with. Besides, what Mega Man weapons would offer him something that his standard subs don't?
Now, this I thought of beforehand, but I wanted to get the opinions before I said anthing. Magic Card or Hornet Chaser (or even Ring Boomerang going by the GB incarnation) could grab items and coins, the Solar Blaze can attack behind you, Freeze Cracker could be his Shotgun Ice, Neptune's Salt Water had a splash effect, Triple blade's shotgun effect.
...you probably wouldn't run into a lot of MM suits anyway unless you went back and replayed World 3 or something.
I figured the Mega Man suits would be a good mid-tier powerup for World 9. They fit well with the sci-fi theme, after all.

Even Arthur having so many Mega Man weapons is quiestionable since he's unlocked in W4, but he gets them because he's one of the main characters. Heh, we should probably edit his weapon baskets so it detects if you're past W3 with the global settings, and include a couple of his MM weapons in the regular randomizer, it's actually very rare to see those being used unless you go back to W3.

Or we could include all of them in the shop too.

I agree with this.  I never see Arthur Megaman weapons when I play and some would be useful in other worlds.  They also should be available in the shop.  Although maybe after world 3 is unlocked. 
I enjoy putting myself in exotic and awesome environments, then I make people play fan generated games they never knew existed.

Heh, I kind of like that idea . . . not sure if it would fit into the dev's plans, though.

btw just quick question with the subweapons how much numbers u can get cuz i got so far the number II so its posible to get a III?

Yes, keep using the subweapons, and eventually you'll get a III.

This is only an idea I'm throwing out there to see what people think. Now, I know Simon is a secret character and is outside the normal parameters of character balance, but as it stands, his sub-weapon selection is kind of thin. Since he no longer has a Mega Man suit, I think Simon should be given a selection of Mega Man weapons; maybe small, like four.

I also heard that ShadowMan.EXE Ryu is on the bubble, also and if it goes, this could extend to him as well.

Once again, just gathering some opinions on this.
Wait, Simon lost his MegaMan suit?
I always though, that he would get the KnightMan suit, since he already got it in 0.4.1 ...or am I wrong?

Simon doesn't use suits anymore. He plays more like a Metroidvania Belmont.
