I wasn't even aware that the levels wouldn't be skippable anymore so it was a big letdown for me but I wanted to express it in a more "childish" way. Don't bother about me.

--- End quote --- It's because of the save feature. You can still play any level, provided you have cleared it already. You just got so used to the early betas that had everything unlocked from the start.
