Fangame Showcase Posting Guidelines

BEFORE POSTING, READ THESE GUIDELINES:

The Fangame Showcase board is for fangames that have significant progress, which means at least one of the following:

*Screenshots and/or videos.

*Playable demos of the game (no engine tests)


Also, if you find fangames made by others, feel free to post them here!


For fangame ideas and development discussion, help, and recruitment, please post over at the Game Development and Ideas Discussion board.

Any post on this board for fangames that do not have sufficient progress will be moved to that board.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Revamped 1.1

Well, I was poking around on the Castlevania forums and found something promising to be a "remake of Castlevania II" ala the same style that Castlevania III is currently being remade. Of course, I thought it was just a demo and what-not. But it turns out that the game is totally finished.

People bitched and nagged about the sprites looking too much like Richter, so custom sprites were made to resemble Simon. Anyway, I'm quite surprised by the game and it'll be a good holdover until CV III is also remade in this style.

Well this is cool.  I will have to play it.  Allthough it does make me wonder about the fate of the Castlevania III remake.

I actually ran into this awhile back and beat it. but yeah a much improved remake I thought it was pretty cool.
