Wait a minute here, this stage is claimed and on top of that, it wasn't available for public development. What do you have to say for yourself?

(and lightable Zelda torches are already coded from before I scrapped them from Fortress of Doom)

Hmm, come to think of it, if there is any need of having enemies sprited for the level, I could try my hand at it. :)

Hoopsters. The ladybug enemies from SMB2 that climbed up and down vines.
Yeah, I can definitely see the smaller ones being skins of those. However I could also see making the big skulltulas, and having those based off of Thwomps (although not simply skins of them).

Hey, I just had a great idea. Have eight gold skulltulas hidden throughout the level, and when they die they drop red coins skinned to look like skulltula tokens. I can practically see players freaking out trying to find them once they hear that signature scratching sound... XD

Go forth, and read from the Book of Gord. Bask in the wisdom and glory that is The Gord.

Aaaaaah why do you people keep playing with my heart
It's fragile

Anyways, the zelda torches are already coded in? That's great! Too bad I don't really have access to them. Oh, well.

As for skulltula sprites, I've scoured around the interworld, but I've found nothing that would actually work. They've either been single images or the wrong size. Those things most definitely need to be sprited, I think! If you would be so kind as to do that, Rukifellth, I'd be in your debt.

Using big Skulltulas as Thwomplikes would probably work pretty well. They come down, like, a bit in front of you, and kinda just hover there before going back up, but they're actually stompable or something like that? Is that how they should work? I'll design space in the stage to account for that sort of thing. Now golden skulltulas, on the other hand, might be a bit problematic because of the nonlinearity. Since you go to the same areas a few times, and enemies respawn whenever you enter a room, that could become a bit of a problem. At least I think it will. I'm pretty sure.

I'm trying to get Forest Temple's general design all finished up in the next few days, so I can throw it at Aura. Mega Highway is almost finished, and Magne's going through making the boss. Magne was a really big help with the stage, so you should all thank him. It's gonna be pretty cool, if I say so myself.

What I said is true, but it isn't your fault.  It shouldn't have been on the availability list, and I didn't find out until it was too late.  I'm not going to stop you from making it.

I definitely like this idea, and any that make creative use of the red coin system.

Not really, red coins are set up so that if one spawns while it's already collected, it just becomes a regular coin instead, regardless of how many times you might pass through that same room. Gold Skulltulas could easily be set up to utilize the same system.

The best part is that we could reuse them for other Zelda levels as well.

Hmm, the token should be, well, golder.  It's too pale now.  Here's a reference image:
