Mushroom Kingdom Fusion 0.5 Beta Testing started
« on: December 10, 2011, 12:11:44 pm »
Mushroom Kingdom Fusion v0.5's Beta Testing phase has started.

The most recent version of the game was given to the Beta Testers group last night. We will be receiving bug reports from them for a few weeks, and fixing all the glitches as they're found.

MKF 0.5 will be released once we make sure there aren't any more game breaking gliches.

Awesomesauce :D this is gonna be just about as Epic as Del's Gameplay skills.. orr wait.. almost as Epic... not Quite, but almost O^O
My characters have no relation to Veggie Tales... just because some of them lack limbs does not mean they are related, inspired by, or knockoffs of Veggie Tales.

what? what shameless plug? I don't see a shameless plug!

I'll bet my forum bucks that the next beta won't be released until sometime in 2012  :P

Not a particularly daring bet on December 12th.

It probably won't. There's quite a bit of stuff that needs fixing.

I've actually decided to go back and play 0.41 because of the sheer anticipation. I found that I was able to waste all of the megaman levels except for Gutsman's, which has those damned platform drops that I've always had a problem with. I also finished a few Demon Realm levels, and for some odd reason I'm quite skilled with Zero. I hope that X will be a side character in 05, since Megaman has been announced. Unless they chunked Roll, Protoman, or Vile.

I do have to say that as a skilled gamer in the classic/old school genre; I found some of the levels a little tricky. In part, I found the Slashman stage to be rather more difficult than it should've been. I especially didn't understand the riding dinosaur portion after already having beaten the boss, and felt that there were too many flying enemies in the way to avoid falling off.

I'm also noticing that the knockback factor in MKF is extremely high. I have died several times just because I fell back too far when hit. On another note, I have seen that Judgespear's Super Mario Fusion Revival had far better quality music, and I noticed that all of it's tracks had been converted to Ogg Voribis. Will this be true of MKF?

Just a few last minute questions before 0.5 releases.

Jungle facility has 2 bosses.

Knockback is part of the weaknesses for those characters.

Don't think X is going in the game.

And MKF uses OGG now I believe.
I enjoy putting myself in exotic and awesome environments, then I make people play fan generated games they never knew existed.

Alright, I understand. Zero is still available, so that's cool. Great about the Ogg's. MKF needed the higher quality. BTW, how big do you guys expect this game to be? The last incarnation was quite huge, so I'm expecting a 400 MB file. Am I right? Or is it even more than that?
