Gladiacloud here.

I started the layout of my new level "Snowy Tower", for World 8.

As in the original game, the level will consist of nine floors filled with various enemies including the Snow Bros enemies, which must be destroyed only with snowballs. You may wonder: "How to transform them into snowballs? I have not the skill of Snow Bros!"... No problem, just use the ice rod!

It was originally going to be a level only vertical (I wanted to create it for world -1), but since has been moved to the world 8 it would have been equal to my only vertical level "Icicle Mountain", so I decided that "Snowy Tower" will be a level both horizontal and vertical.

And now some shots of the first floor:





Compared to the old design, Snowy Tower is MUCH nicer.

P.S: The enemies are not static this time ;)

P.S 2: Can someone suggest me other enemies, please?

I have to agree, the new design does look far better than the original. Glad to see you managed to code those enemies as well. I'll leave the suggestions to someone else though, I'm afraid I became far too rusty these past months to give a decent idea.

By the way, do you still have the Midi file for the level's song? I'd like to give it a try at improving it, so if you still have it, PM me later with the file. Which reminds me, I haven't sent Aura the improved HP song yet, so I'll do that right now.

my god! i can't wait to play this.:D you know some people were talking about introducing the final beta
to some LPers like DSPgaming, SSoHPKC, and UberHaxorNova to make the game more popular. I totally think that would do it.

Side Note: i decided to code Amy Rose for MKF. has she already been scrapped or is someone already working on her besides me?

Well, it sure looks pretty.  I'll be interested in seeing exactly how the snowballs work (which can probably only be done in a video).

use the kid icarus snowman, and the Wario snowman (I don't know if that one is in the dev kit though, probably it is, look at Shodian's folder or at the folder with Wario enemies; if it's in there it's probably glitchy though)

you could also use the bomberman ice enemies again, or flurries, or maybe even a couple kirby enemies

whatever you pick, don't use too many though, keep the enemy types at some number lower than 10

I can imagine everyone thinking that this is a little out of place but I think hammer bros would be very nice for this level.

From I can see,Snowy Tower is a lot better than before.
As for enemies,Due to this is W.8 how about put in some ice Pokemon?Like Swinub or Snorunt?

PS:If you can't find Pokemon sprites,I can make one for you. ;)

Because of a series of circumstances that are making my level Snowy Tower virtually unplayable and unfeasible, I decided to change the level system:

1) The Snow Bros. enemies will be killable like normal enemies, but they will release more points if killed with a snowball;

2) There will be points in which Mario can create a snowball that can then be thrown against the enemies.

1) A pulley code in Step event and in Alarm[0] event caused the game crash every time I got on a snow ball colliding with a slope, so they are removed and now the game don't crash anymore;

2) The moneys: the arrangement of the platforms has made impossible their distribution, so I decided that they will be released by snow bros enemies when killed by a snowball.

3) Snow Bros enemies: when they are stomped, will remain stunned for two seconds.

I almost finished the second room, soon I'll post some shots.

Alright glad to hear it's going to continue. I'm most pleased. Can't wait to see some screenies  :)

Are the two seconds so you can turn them into snowballs?
