Since the game is basically MM1 villains versus MM2 stages and bosses, i figured that it would be a different style of game play than normal Megaman.  Still I have to say some of the game mechanics are a little jarring and seem more difficult than fun to play.  Gutsman in particular is really difficult to use, not only because he has to literally jump to move, but also because his wide frame and slow attack.  Now its perfectly fine keeping these elements in for him, as it is staying true to his character.  But the level he plays in is extremely difficult to play through at certain points because of the floating respawn heads.  Some of the other characters share similar issues, but he just stood out the most.

I was just curious on what your thoughts are on issues like these are, and what development is currently going on in this game.

This game is finished.  Riverroad is well on his way to completing the sequel as well.  I don't know if he would still work on this game.

As Aura said, the first MegamanDL game is done and no further changes are likely to be made.  I admit it is probably too hard in the pre-Wily Castle levels, especially for Gutsman.  You can press the Insert key to cheat and instantly get full health if you feel it is too much.

MegamanDL 2 is much easier.  If nothing else, that is one lesson learned from the first game.

Okay, well I did a play through run of the game.  I was under the impression it was also a work in progress so I would say disregard some comments about that.  I showed it some friends and they said they liked it but we did find some things difficult.  I'll post it on youtube in a couple days.
