D-TurboKiller's Contributions Topic
« on: August 14, 2011, 03:16:44 am »

I'm not currently working on any projects, and don't plan to in the near future. I have a lot of personal things to take care of. This is currently here only due to the old forum shutdown.

(back to the main topic...)

Yet again my WIP topic returns, this time to be saved from the downfall of the precious forum.
I welcome you to my level database, here you shall see the wonders or disasters that I create, from Completed to WiP's to Cancelled Projects, even Miscellaneous tidbits and Ideas I gather around the years.

Completed Projects
Diamondus (formerly Jazz Jackrabbit Fusion)
If you thought this was long gone, think again.
The canceled MKF level comes revamped for Super Mario Fusion. Diamondus is the very first planet you come across in Jazz Jackrabbit. Contrary to what you think, however, this level is much harder and includes only Mario-based enemies.
This is level 6-S1, it should be inspected and merged soon enough once all the necessary tweaks are made.

Aztec Citadel
This is an official level featured in world 2.
From Del's description:
"The level starts in middle of a war with the rebel soldiers. Eri from Metal Slug does a small cameo dropping you into the battlefield. There are new enemies around like rebel bikers, grenade tanks, natives, etc.
As you progress, you have to go deep into the jungle and some Aztec Ruins, which use some of Pitfall's artwork and gimmicks."
There is a lot more of course, such as some Rise of the Triad traps and other tidbits. Special thanks to Gladiacloud for his tremendous work in a lot of the level's design.

Lost in Retro
A hardcore remake of the Super Mario Brothers NES game with a lot of crazy twists! It also uses the Lost Levels tileset for that added awesome.
It ended up being, by far, most popular YouTube upload, even ending up on a Japanese website with a high visit count.
Special thanks to Riverroad for all the great coding. I couldn't have done it without him.
The level was planned to appear in a fangame with the same name, but it got cancelled. Now I'm just hoping someone gets this into either MKF or SMF someday.

Works In Progress/In Consideration
Everything's cleaned out from the previous forum; nothing to see here.

Cancelled/Halted Projects
Nothing worth mentioning.

Ideas
My head must be pretty hazy, as I don't seem to have any ideas at the moment. I'm sure they'll come out sooner or later.

Misc Projects
2011 Gladiacloud's Birthday
Dedicated to Gladiacloud and Dante's birthday on the 24th of April.
Probably the first game I ever finished. Made in RPG Maker VX. A great gift for the whole Fusion family.

MDK Orbital Landing (Minigame Idea) - Updated 29th September 2009
An exciting minigame idea filled with extreme freefalling, hazards and tons of crappy MDK humour! You can read it HERE.

I guess you should rename this topic to "contributions" or something instead of WIP, since there's nothing being worked on or future plans either.

And man, I knew the old dev team should have accepted that Jazz Jackrabbit level, by now you'd probably have completed it with its original JJ enemies, but it was rejected because there was another one PLANNED, which never happened and ended being scrapped. Sigh, bad decisions everywhere during that time :(
