I really cannot wait to see this in action, Gladia. Yeah, SMFR development is a bit slow this time around, since all of the core team members are busy with other things.

That's... really creepy... I can't help but get a bit of the Alice Madness Returns Dollhouse feel from this. Really disturbing... in a good way.

Please note that this level was one of my very old suggestions for MKF, when it was still in the fetal phase, and had to be a fusion of "Adventure of Lomax" and "Jazz Jackrabbit 2 The Secret Files".

I dismissed that level, then I resurrected it for SMFR. One day later, I saw a Second Life video where there was an haunted house with the walls smeared with blood and I was inspired by that house to build this level.

About the current status, very little is missing to finish it, but then I have to work on door system.

I actually want to know something else: Why are there numbers?

The numbers are the x/y locations of the platforms in the room. It's probably a debug routine that was used for the platforms.

It's time to reveal my second world 4 level:



The level is called "Clot Cavern" and is set in a cave full of bloody pits and covered with a coat of coagulated blood.

The blood is very particular here: When Mario reaches certain points of the level...




... the blood becomes magma!

The level is slightly inspired by the old fortress of Super Mario Bros (the path system, to be exact), with the difference that here you must store all the points where the level changes to find the exit.

Blood turning into magma?  That's incredibly freaky.  And that sounds like an interesting use of the path system, if I understand what you're talking about.

Clot Cavern is finished, I just have to put objects (enemies, blocks, etc).

Gladiacloud here.

After a while, I can finally post some news about my SMFR wips.

Recently I've completed a level, but I could not show it because was an important part of the game.

That said, I show you my latest wip:





This is a ship level for the world 5 and is called "Hawk Path". The level is set, as the name implies, on a path built on the back of a giant hawk. :)

There are no cannonballs or bullet bills, but instead there are many feathers that are detached from hawk and then headed towards you.

Can someone suggest me some enemies for that level?
