MKF General Discussion Posting Guidelines

1.) READ THE FAQ BEFORE POSTING. If you have a question about MKF in general, chances are it is answered in the FAQ.

2.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW CHARACTERS. MKF already has so many characters planned, plus a whole lot more that are unfinished.

3.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW ENEMIES. As of July 2010, the MKF Dev team is focused on getting the game done, not adding any more unnecessary extra enemies.

4.) DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW GAME FEATURES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: POWER-UPS, SUITS, LEVELS, AND GAME MODES. As noted above, the team is focused on getting the game done.

5.) DO NOT POST BUG REPORTS HERE. The MKF Bug Tracker is the place to do so.

6.)DO NOT ASK ABOUT RELEASE DATES FOR THE NEXT VERSION. We do not give out release dates. Why? If we announce a date and we miss it, people will get disappointed. New versions will be released as they get done.

Any post that contains any of these things will be binned on sight.

Hey guys, Aura here to tell you all that I'm roughly halfway through the beta testing bug lists.  After this I'll send it back out to the beta testers for a phase 2, which will most likely have a tiny bug list.

Yeah, props goes out to our team of Beta Testers, both official and temporary, for all their work in testing through the game. Special mention goes to Sum Gai, who not only tested out ALL of MKF in it's entirety, but also did so in video format.
But yeah, we don't have that much further left to go until the release. We'd like to thank you guys for your patience through all this, it's hopefully all going to pay off pretty soon.

Go forth, and read from the Book of Gord. Bask in the wisdom and glory that is The Gord.

meh, hopefully we can release it soon, I'm getting impatient myself as well, it's been more than a year and half since the last one

once Aura and Lars finish fixing the reported bugs, phase 2 will only focus on re-testing the "fatal" glitches, the ones that either crash the game or won't let you progress through levels making them unplayable, it won't be an extensive search like the first one; perhaps a few glitches will be sneaky and go undetected in the release, but those don't matter, as long as the game is playable

Can't you just release another patch like you did with version 0.4?

that's exactly what we don't want to do, that's the only reason we're doing so much testing this time

0.3 I doubt it was tested even a little by the dev team from those days, half of the levels were missing backgrounds or music and it had more than a hundred glitches; 0.4 was tested but not as much as it should have, many glitches were leaked, various of them were fatal, we don't want any of that for 0.5 and that's why we have beta testers now

We didn't have beta testers for .4

A .51 release isn't really desirable.

I never knew you guys didn't have beta testers back then.

No wonder ppl kept shunning and ridiculing this game. Now you'll get them to shut up with this new beta running smoother and less bugs.

Go squish some stubborn bugs dev team  B)

It's a shame you aren't (or probably can't) use BRSTM for the music. They're small, built for looping, and doing so for every song in the game would probably take about half an hour.

But regardless, here's hoping the tests go well until the next release.
