So, now that hope exists for Fire Temple again, I was thinking of changing the boss from Volvagia to Gleeok. I need a Sprite Rip of BS Zelda's Gleeok to get started on the spritework, though. If anyone can help, that would be awesome.

I dunno about spritework, but I could go and try again with making the stage to your specs.

I just need that tileset that Del had made the last time.

EMB put a lot of stuff into it too

EMB: the boss, enemies, design and any content will be decided by whoever makes the level, it's up to the dev making it if he wants to use your ideas and sketches or not. They can be very helpful yeah, just saying the level designers are free to do whatever they want with the levels they make as long as it fits and doesn't use too many resources.

Thanks.

I'll try to use EMB's design, as creating very unique levels has always been an issue with me.  But if I omit a room or change something up, then it's pretty much out of my own choosing.

Thanks everyone. I believe smbmaster still has some of the enemies in case you need them.

Progress on the Fire Temple.

I'm going to omit the checkpoint room after the Flare Dancer, as I feel that having another checkpoint chamber is a bit redundant, plus the checkpoint can be part of the next chamber that followed.  But, besides that, I am following EMB's layout.

If you can't find the sprite you want of Gleeok, maybe I could draw a new sheet to use as a boss or something?  I would base it on the artwork on this page.

Oh, I can merge.  Please send me that source file.

I don't have it, you'll need to PM smbmaster. And Aura has the Midoro Palace source in case you want to use Wizrobes and Skullballs/bubbles/whatever they're called. Technically I coded those but he edited them a bit.

Alright.  Because I needed a little help with my FOD workfile as far as my character using melee attacks go, I was planning on contacting smbmaster anyways.

I think those things are known as "Bubbles", with a color prefix.

They are, and there have been several varieties throughout the series.  Here's a link, in case you're interested:

That looks like a good place to start. I was thinking that he would be the four-headed variety with a quadrupedal body like he was in Oracle of Seasons. He would also be situated in the center of the room facing the camera.

@JDogIndy: Looking good so far. I believe smbmaster also has the Bomb Flowers. Also, maybe slip in some of those sliding Spike Traps, too. Lars has been wanting them to be used more.

Should I take that as a go-ahead?  If so, I plan on drawing some more personal artwork over the next week--afterwards I promise to work on Gleeok for you.

Also, I take it that you'd like me to combine elements from the gleeok the first Zelda with the body structure of the gleeok from Oracle of Seasons?  Will you want a skeletal version too?

That's an affirmative; skeletal form won't be necessary, though. By the way, I hope I didn't imply that I was going to code Gleeok, because I have no coding experience, nor do I even have Game Maker.
