Oh here are a couple of goodies requested by Obreck a while back. Well there not 100% done but certainly getting there. Don't ask me where he'll intend on using these two i just know he wanted them done:

Oh btw!!! I just want to clarify that the alucard i gave to Obreck for the project a while back is co-made by Claimh Solais/ and myself Laslunder. Original concept was his idea. So please make sure he is credited for the artwork aswell Thanks!     Say btb, any word on Obreck's return? IS this game still suppose to happen or  no???

yeah i would like to know what obreck plans on doing before I create anything else. is this game still going to happen or is it a bust? I surely hope that its still going to be made.

I think Obreck is having some personal problems right now, but is planning to return and continue this project.  You'll have to ask someone else for the details.

I'm glad to hear Obreck is back. This is great news!!!!.  BTW everyone have a happy holiday!!!! Obreck please pm me when you get a chance. I have a tweak version of the engine i need to show you, which i updated quite a few things. They are:

-updated sypha's frame animations count and weaponry count to match her new animations with the expection of her item crash which i hadne't gotten too.

-upated sypha's jump using alucard code minus the double jump.Now her animations are much smoother and realistic looking. Overall she is much nicer!!!! than the original(though i feel i could still tweak her sprites further and line up a bit better)

-updated grant attack and walk to look much smoother. Also added sotn grant skin

-added a couple extra slots for grant and sypha.

-originally made another tweak version to test out a newer grant crawl with 9 animations as opposed to 4. Looks much better and i found a good speed for it that matches his wall climb. Unfortuenly i do not know how to add code for him and because he uses the same code trevor and others use when changed it affects trevors duck walk and would have to turn that off which i realize is a no go. You'd have to add extra potential code for grant's duck crawl. Either way it does look very nice i might add!!

-changed a backdrop for the ghost ship!!! it looks more like cv3 as opposed to the dracula x ghost ship. It's nicer, i however, wanted at some point to add green moss or algy to it to give it a more creepy affect which i haven't gotten too yet.

-in the tweak engine added some extra sounds to some enemies original sounds such as: axe armor,spearknight,and bloody zombies. Sounds really good too(maybe they could be louder i have a program that can fix that)

-also i've got some other goodies your'e gonna absoloutely wanna check out. Trust me on that!!!

So yeah with all that being said it's worth a look Obreck.  I apologize if it oversteps some boundaries. I'm just trying to get things rolling for you while you were away and to be helpful. Ok well just pm me or hit me up by email and i'll send them too you. Sound cool. Ok man!! Oh btw i know it's a bit rushed but any chance of putting out a demo by christmas?

*Also this post is old but i felt it was the right area to put in on,as opposed to starting a new post.


Also i wanted to say i've been working on the handshakes and endings too, though they are not all done at this time. I'm wondering too is there some way to have these handshake strips and endings external aswell that way each combination can show up. meaning for every trevor strip their may be the need to make all teh diffrernt skins he has shaking hands of all the other skins their are for other playes. I know this sounds complicated but with enough time it could get done. I already have a bunch done and looking spiffy, i believe all the sotn trevors are done. The endings are a bit rough though and likewise with them!

Yeah i'm modifying my post and finally have the videos. Sorry guys no sound! windows movie maker is being a pain right now and keeps exiting on me. But i do have the videos. It kinda sucks cause if i were able to get sound on vista it you'd here some of the new enemy sounds. Well anyways here is what i came up with. I made two videos one of Symphony of the Night style Grant DyNasty. And a newer/better hair Sypha Belnades. Unfortunely these videos don't do what i'm trying to show much justice. The frame rate of the video is piss poor. I'll really have to look into getting a new video recording program. Ok well here they are:

Finally, an update!  :) I'm glad.

Medusa is a perfect boss for this part of the ghost ship.

But the new backdrop of the ghost ship...
You know, I actually like much more the previous backdrop, from Rondo of Blood. Even though this backdrop is different from the CV3 one, I think it is better than the new one you made. The new one has destroyed the creepy environment of the level.
You should return the previous backdrop. Or...you can use both of them, so the level design will be diverse.
Use the older backdrop in ther first ship rooms, where the are Dhurons, Ghosts and Blood Skeleton. Then, use the new backdrop, in the rooms of the skeletons, ghosts and the moving platforms.

Yeah i understand what your saying. Ah maybe both could be included the green area for the bottom of the ship. But the light brown i think should be in their. Also i wanted to add alge to make it look dark and dank looking. Perhaps i could go back and make the bottom areas even more algae and darker looking.   On another note i think i mentioned this but this list is for obreck of things i found potentially needing tweaking:

-sypha and grant cannot go upstairs like trevor and alucard. Maybe it's a size issues but they fall of the top rung of stairs back down again.
-When walking through flowing water certain player( i forget but i think grant and sypha) can't walk through it very well like on atlantis. Maybe it's cause of how i did it but i'm unsure.
-When you but make a foreground in the first room of a starting level like on ghosthip, it has a tendency every time to produce a black screen for a split second then goes back to normal. I wonder if code could change that. If not i have a solutin but i may take up more size in the engine. I realize instead of making a foreground you can make an object that has, i believe if i'm not mistaken, negative depth(may be postive something over 0). That would make it come forward over the player like a foreground but not mess up the screen.

Also found some of these online. Don't know who did them but they are pretty well done edits.
Seems like most of Olrox 2 form

I also found animations in a gif file for all of Galamoth(pretty sure though). I don't remember, but i think Obreck said Galamoth may be too large to fit in the project or soemthing. However i do think he mentioned Olrox 1 and 2 were a possibility. Form 1 was edited a while back from Reiko. I must say i liked his color edits!

Eh well i decided to post up Galamoth. He's at the very least interesting to view in animation.


Oh btw credit goes to however ripped them and animated them. I don't remember who it is so if they don't like it i can pull them down. I take no credit in these animations just some interesting stuff i found.

nice find Laslunder. I like your edits with the paths but i would like to suggest that you take elements from the new stages and paste them to the paths to make them look new and 16 bit -ish. what do you think of that suggestion? other than that, it would be 100% ice cold. ;)

oh yeah, here is orlox you were talking about. all of his sprites are done.

I think thoce animations are done by Irrlinchen at the Castlevania Fighter Project. I know because I've done sprites on a playable Death for that game. XD

I'm afraid you'd you'd probably have to ask him for permission on use. :S

Ok that's cool Rukifellth.My bad, I'll take em down unless he's cool with it. I had not been able to find out who it was that posted them since serios site mysteriously vanished( i know it's up and running again though). Any chance you'd know how to reach him or will i need to sign up at serio's site? BTW did he rip these or did he actually draw some of these moves in. They look somewhat different than the game. Either way give him props this must have taken a long time to do. Also kudos to you Rukifelth on the Death. Yeah you did a fantastic job on him!!! 

Also Reiko, yeah they aren't really technically finished. I wanted to go back and retweak them and make them look more polished. I'd honestly wouldn't mind if anyone wanted to tweak anything further or do some themselves. Hell i'm sure someone out there has better ideas on them than i did. These were somewhat enhanced edits. Just here  merely to stir a crowd and get people up on the project. Yeah anyone feel free to make any highlow road or tweak mine if you want.  If you want Reiko i can animate the Olrox and post him.
