Cool! :3
Im working on the sypha statue at the moment. I do think it will be rather tricky. Also i know Obreck was gonna do some intersting things with Medusa, but he didn't get too informative. I wonder if he'll make the players get petrified/stoned by medusa ray shots or something.

Yeah, also, i was look at your name on the icon to the left where it shows your name and a +/- numbers for rep, dev, etc. What is the money for? I never really got that.

Update!:

Well this should help, though i'm not sure if the stone breaking should go out that far? Also should she shake? i started making a version without her shaking. It doesn't really look as good as this one. Something about the non-stone shaking version seems to plain and the animation unrealistic. So i figured at the least i would show this one. Here's what i got so far:

And obviously the lightning would strike the sypha statue first before she shakes the rest of the stone off.

my good ness, that is nice man. if i can make a suggestion though, make the breaking stone a little closer and not as far spread ok and as the lightnig stikes her, there should be crack marks . it looks really astonishing though. oh yeah and keep the shake too ok. it looks more real.

Yeah i agree with you. I had that realization after i animated sotn alucard stone breakag from medusa petrification. He does have some crackling. And yeah maybe the breakage isn't as far. But then again what would lightning do if it struck a statue??? Maybe close or far eh not sure. I'll play around with it and try different stuff.

yeah the cracks would make it look alot better. and now that you brought it to my attention, i guess with the lighting striking the stone, it is highly possible and believable that the stone would shatter as you have it due to the force of the strike.

Yeah it's possible. I agree with the crackles from it breaking. And yeah i'm gonna play around with it to see what i get. Maybe it would explode like even further out or just crumble down. I think maybe like it is(obviously with cracks) just with more pieces falling off though.

That would be an absolute privilege!  Need my Windows Live and stuff?  It'll be awesome having something to work on after I come home from work.   B)

I'm so glad this project is still alive. After playing Obreck's Demo 2 (was there ever a demo 1??) I've been waiting and waiting. Whatever happened to make him abandon the project sucks, but at least the 2 of you are still hard at work :) Any idea of when there might be another playable demo, or playable versions of Grant and Sypha?

No not yet. Granted they area all playable. Sypha just got revamped with her stairs up and down animations, here stance, and here attack. She now has a bit of a differnt feel than hair down sypha. Which at this point hair sypha would be an unlockable(only makes sense right?). As for the levels their really aren't enough finished. Most of the new ones are WIP. Some rooms need to be extended, some largened. We just don't want the game to be too confined. Also theirs the issues of left doors not being coded in, which i still haven't figured out yet. I've got the left boss views in though. Also the rooms that have a larger height than 240 don't allow me to move through the door very well. I always end up usually 2 blocks up or down depending on where the player hits the door as they shift through it. 240 height for shifting doors works perfectly, sadly their are alot of rooms that need bigger sizes like 336 heights or perhaps even bigger. Idk to be honest. I just coded in a backwards version of the skeleton dragon obreck had. So now they also face right as opposed to left. Their are a couple issues with the engine so far i've been having too:
1. Their is one slow down glitch when you start a few seconds later. It's like a quick jilt. I think it may be the music or possible code but i am not sure.
2. Also when i load too many big animations or sprite i get this error:

ERROR in
action number 1
of Other Event: Game Start
for object MrD:

Error defining an external function.

Sometimes it is the sxms that gives me an error the same way. I am doing my best also to use tilesets more so now than before because i think using full level rooms as backgrounds or tiles may be sucking up too much room. I'm really not sure to be honest. Also some rooms parrelexing seems weird. Usually rooms that go up. It seems like their shoudln't just be x parrelexing but also y parrelexing too. Hm....??? Yeah i dunno, i am striving heavily to work out these issues. Anyone who thinks they may know and fix the issues please let me know.

Wow I appreciate the prompt reply! I don't know much of jack**** about programming, so unfortunately I can't help you there :/ My brother works with Gamemaker so he was definitely very excited to see what a fan-project's potential could be.

As for the project still being too much WIP that's perfectly fine. I'm a writer actually so I can definitely identify with your desire to not let people see something until it's done. I do agree that hooded-Sypha should be default and I only wish I knew more about the door and height troubles you're having. Suffice to say though that you have lots of people cheering for you all and we're eagerly looking forward to hearing news! Keep up the good work and keep us posted!!!
