Laslunder and reiko26's SCV3 Stages
« on: August 07, 2011, 11:07:07 am »
hello guys, Just as a an update. We are still working in Super castlevania 3, Laslunder and I are working on more stages. with the ghost ship already done but need a little tweaking. mad forest is done too but needs tweaking. Atlantis is a major stage created by Laslunder and will be going through its final stages but is 99.5% done. once we get all situated. we will begin our posting of progress.

by the way, where is Mike Obreck??? :/

Shodian has almost completed the layout for his stage contribution: the Rising Towers. Here is a video of it:

All that is left is him completing one more room and me coding in the boss and few new enemies

I might suggest that all reiko's level topics be merged with this one. There's no need for individual level topics.

Looks great, nice to see SCV3's development is still going even with Obreck being attending real life matters :)

Btw Obreck was on MSN a few nights ago, he feels terrible for not being able to do any coding for any of the Fusion Team's projects, but hopefully he will come back at full strength once he gets a change, in the meantime any progress will be greatly appreciated so this can be done. At least the engine is ready for you guys to work at, these designs will only need some polishing later.

Yeah thanks about the atlantis stage. I'm really looking to make it sparkle.Kudos to Reik, for the idea on the statues sprouting water and the wall backdrop. Plus  he had the idea of the moon in the background too. Nice! I really gotta sit down to and go back over mad forest esp. and ghost ship. Ghost ship isn't too bad(it needs some touch up without doubt) but mad forest i need to rework. Their fun levels imo but they need to say wow like atlantis ,you know. Oh that's cool Del. So Obreck was on not long ago huh. Cool, good news that you heard from him, good to know the project is still afloat. Well i gave him a bunch of goodies last time i seen him like the reworked sypha. All but her jump am i convinced of. Maybe her duck too. But i'll sit down with that soon enough.

Just recently i've busted out with another video i plan on uploading once youtube stops having maintenence issues. I'll introduce(though they are works in progress) my latest konami(castlevania) inspired songs i wrote in the video. Man i got tons of ideas floating around. I seriously could make an entire soundtrack! I'll post it here when i'm done. It'll have 2 songs in the video keep in mind they are wip.

Yeah i hope everything is good with Obreck man. I realized when i look around these days the economy has got everybody bussled. Hopefully good things come are way. Man i'm really diggin' the comments guys. Thanks a bunch!

Ok so here is the video. It's latest update on Atlantis. Sound is an issue for me right now so i left it out. I had to reupload the video cause the sound got screwy. I currently have no sound in it and i'm rushing to put it up cause of Hurricane IRENE.  Well hope you like it:

Very good-looking and well-designed.  At first I thought some of the green was too bright, but it grew on me after I watched a bit longer.  The only concern I may have left if to put a little more space sround the tops and bottoms or some of the stairs to makes them easier to climb.
(By the way, is that a skin for Trevor, or does he have new sprites?)

Those are good tracks, thought I don't know if they'd fit that level.  Maybe you can consider these.

Nonetheless, it's a very good idea to try your hand at original compositions.
